Happy New Year!!!
Even though this has been a trying task, I hope you can help
me. My grandfather served and was wounded in WWII. After
spending many months in a coma in a foreign hospital, he was
transferred to a medical facility in New Orleans, LA. There was
a young W.A.C., Ms. Lola Mason, serving there...she practically
brought my grandfather back to life by showing kindness and
interest. Many years have passed, but he and my grandmother
would love to be able to find her and thank her for her war
efforts. I have searched the net, books, and libraries...no
luck.
My grandfather, 81
yrs old, is only able to remember her name, Lola Mason
(maiden)...that she was from Renova, Clinton County,
Pennsylvania...her father and brother worked in the coal
mines...& his hospital stay took place around August 1945.
Please help!!!
Stumped,
Kevin Greene
