"HOMELESS VETERANS WITH DEPENDANTS INITIATIVE" Chesapeake Beacon, Chapter 114, of Aberdeen, Maryland is in the process of working with the "Homeless Veterans with Dependents Initiative" of Perry Point, Maryland. This initiative is in the process of trying to deal with Homeless Veterans with dependants around the Harford and Cecil County areas. Homelessness is a problem for all states in America and all over the world. We can help by getting involved in this problem. It takes the Communities to solve the problem and we in Harford and Cecil County need to take up arms and deal with the issues we have in our areas. Our veterans are in need of our help and we need to give it to them. After all, they gave their time and lives for us when duty called. If you belong to a veterans' organization please lend a hand and help us get these homes up and running. If you are a leader in your community, please take time to help us with this issue. Take the time to read and listen; ask questions on how you can help us and our homeless veterans. If you are a Grant Writer and would like to help us in our endeavors, please contact Wanda at OkieGirlMD@aol.com. We could really use the help as we are in need of funds to help in the installation of sprinkler systems in two of the homes. If you would like to help by donating paint for the homes or your skills, please contact Wanda at the email address above.
